� I'd like to try some streaming later on in the year. Is Lame compatible with Shoutcast, & which programs would I need to firstly produce the PCM stream, & secondly export the MPEG stream to the internet? OS will most likely be Windows 95. � Would I be able to stream VBR with a max bitrate of 32 kBit/sec to a 28.8 kBit/sec modem if it averages 20 kBit/sec? Or should I play it safe with a max of 24? Sampling rate will probably be 12 or 16 kHz. 11025 Hz is not quite enough bandwidth, & 22050 Hz requires too much data for acceptable compression quality.
