Thanks Mathew,

I could localize the beginning of those glitches at the following positions:
#   sec  frame  granule
1  2.69   103      1
2  3.16   121      1
3  4.49   172      0
4  5.17   198      0
5  5.90   226      0

They are all in the side channel and sound like the "Glockenspiel" problem
we had some time ago with the old VBR.

So here is definitive something wrong.
