  I apologize beforehand, if this message is out of place because it's not about
MP3. It's still about audio compression, though, and with the recent Vorbis
development, it may still be interesting to list readers.
  I brought home this cd-rom that was handed out at this festival. It contains
a video interview and some promotional audio tracks. These audio tracks are
something of a mystery for me: the files are named *.saf and have headers like
these:

One needs to run the (win32) executable and have this RioPort player thingy
installed to play these. It looks like some sort of "protected", propriatary 
format. I'm curious about it, its quality/size and any players/encoders.
