I've been out for a month (exams), and now the last few days I get
mails like:

did the standard Takehiro VBR mode change? (you know the "Y"->"-Z" one)
What was wrong with the older vbr mode, the size was noticable smaller
and I got no real artifacts.
I probably missed something in the mailing list (mailbox overflooded),
but couldn't find the thread on the online archive also ;(
could someone please give me a quick updater so I can get an idea how
to tackle the problem? thanks! (sorry for the inconvenience)
