We've done lots of exactly this, and have enjoyed the results. We only had time
to do the briefest of comparisons in the studio (on `classical' music) and
found better quality on complex choral music at 32kHz (with the -k flag added
so filters were turned off) compared to 44.1kHz. Fewer artefacts were audible.
