Howdy All,

OK - I just finished overhauling the SCFSI block from the ISO 'dist10'
distribution for my encoder, and I have a couple of questions/rants...

First off, I have to congratulate whoever originally wrote this block - it
has a higher density of _major_ errors than I have ever seen in any
executable block of code! Reversed array indices, poor casting, logical
errors, treating addresses as ints - good thing the first error essentially
disables the whole block, causing SCFSI to never be used...

So the question is - does SCFSI work? I.e. are there any encoders that
actually use it? (Does LAME?) After I patched all the bugs so that it
would work as specified in the spec (I think), it sounds like shit.
(Shittier than usual, that is...) Am I missing something, or is this why
I've never seen an .mp3 which uses this 'feature'?

Thanks,
Alex
