Lame hangs on --vbr-new, or coding of 0,4 seconds sound takes longer than 2
hours.

Another idea to save bits is a "-ma" mode. This mode calculates first
the correlation of the two channels and forces mono on r >= 0.98.
For r < 0.98 the joint mode is selected (using MS + AB frames).
