The data in an mpeg1 frame represents 1152 samples,
and mpeg2 it is 576 samples.

Hz = samples per second.  So 44.1kHz =  44100 samples per second.
Thus the length of a mpeg1 frame at 44.1khz is (1152/44100) seconds.
