| mpxplay is a decent DOS mp3 player.
|

I was made DOS diskette PC CD-ROM player for family when I"m at work with
detachable HDD.

And I was try _MANY_ DOS-based MP3 players. Only MPXplay 142 seems to be
fully functional for all that I need. And has lowest CPU usage (as author
says), and support I think all soundcards over the world (if you have not
configured properly your soundcard, it use MIDAS 22kHz interface and your
soundcard was playing when not initialized!).

It has only one "feature" - when you browse over your huge CD collection
with many files under one subdir, then CPU load goes too high (130% :-)))))
and currently played song has dropouts, because it open and scan each MP3
file for its length.

But it runs at 486-66 (with limited quality).
