:: It's an example I found in my instrument directory. Several files from
:: different sources (mostly Synth papers with CDs, i.e. Keys, Keyboards).
::
:: On is the of a shaker. Lame fails, also at rates of 320 kbit/s.
:: Lame 192 kbit/s sounds really bad. FhG (mp3encdemp31) is *much* better.
::
:: The file is about 50 KByte.
::
:: Lame FhG
:: 96 coredump 3.5
:: 128 coredump 2.5
:: 160 4.3 2.5
:: 192 4.1 2
:: 224 3.9 1.5
:: 256 3.7 1.2
:: 319/320 3.5 1
::
:: There are a lot of core dumps!
::
Sorry. The results are not sooo bad. I switched to max quality via "-q 9".
"-q 9" seem to be not very good tested.
File is to be found in "http://www.uni-jena.de/~pfk/resample.tar.gz".
Every Coder uses other command line switches with another meaning.
FhG: -qual 0 min -qual 9 max
Lame: -qual 9 min -qual 1 max
FhG -br 8000 ... -br 320000
Lame -b 8000 switches to 320000 bps without warning
Lame -V0 max -V9 min
TooLame: -V20 max -V1 min
FhG: frequencies in Hz
Lame: frequencies in kHz
