Hi all,

I know this topic was often discussed in this mailing list but
I am not sure about the conclusions and now I have a related
problem with EAQUAL
(http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/eaqual).
I understood from the discussion here that there seems to be
no problem in publishing source code which uses patents if no
binaries are provided, but only the source code.
However, I do not provide binaries and I state in the readme
"Please note that parts of this software can be under patent
right restrictions and thus cannot be used freely in some
countries.", but I got a letter about patent infringements
which demands to stop all distribution of software.

Since patent issues with mp3 seem to be related, I wondered if
anyone can make definitive statements about the legality of
providing such a source code.

Sorry for this long ot post.

Regards,
Alexander
