        your message. I only saw this one because I looked at the list
        archives.

        Unfortunately, I don't know about the release date for 3.93. I
        see that the sources are still being changed, though.

        Anyway, I've committed some updates to the debian directory of
        lame's CVS, to include the optimizations and the checks for
        nasm (but it doesn't require nasm on architectures other than
        x86).

        In the near future, I'll make other improvements to the
        package (like making a lame-extras package and taking rid of
        the included -rpath in the shared library package, but I'll
        have to test some of the changes that I plan quite
        extensively, since they may break some architectures).

        While, I'm playing with it, I may even make some binaries for
        MacOS X. :-D

        Unfortunately, I don't have money for getting Jaguar here in
        Brazil, which means that the binaries will be for MacOS X
        10.1.
