Hi all, quick fix enquiry: If I take an '--alt-preset standard' VBR MP3 (encoded using LAME 3.96.1) and re-encode it to CBR 320 (--alt-preset insane) in LAME (using RazorLame) will there be any loss of quality? What are the implications of this; extra, unnecessary padding maybe?
The reason I would want to do this is to make up for a player that does not support VBR files. Is there a better way of overcoming this?
