Hi, I would like to use lame to create an Mp3 file and to add some Id3 tags 'by hand' afterwards. I know in advance how much space the tags will take. Is there a way to tell lame to add a certain amount of blank data at the beginning of the output? I know that I can just pipe the output into my file, but the problem then is that if I use VBR, the Xing tag is not written because lame cannot go back.
I know about the --pad-id3v2 option that adds an extra 128 bytes, but what I am looking for is an option to add an arbitrary number of bytes instead.
