Hi Steven, MPB users,

Below is a simple test to view the z-component of the H field and magnetic
energy density in a triangular lattice of air-holes. I have attached the pics
for the first and second band. This looks a bit odd, should the field antinodes
not be located in the dielectric for the first band? it almost looks like the
opposite of what we would expect (first and second band). I am sure this must
have been discussed elsewhere but couldn't find this particular topic.
