Dear Steven and others,
I want to plot the band structure of 1D photonic crystals which is excited by
off-axis propagation. One example is shown by Fig.7 on Page 46 of Photonic
Crystal: Molding the Flow of Light.
In my opinion, we should treat the multilayer film as a 2D photonic crystal in
this case. One possible code is as follows,
***********************************************************************************************************
(set! geometry-lattice (make lattice (size 1 0.5 no-size))) ; 2d cell
(set! default-material (make dielectric (epsilon 1)))
(set! geometry
(list
(make block
(material (make dielectric (epsilon 13)))
(center 0.4 0 0) (size 0.2 infinity))))
(set! k-points (list (vector3 0 0 0)
(vector3 0 1.5 0)))
(define-param k-interp 10)
(set! k-points (interpolate k-interp k-points))
(set-param! resolution 64)
(set-param! num-bands 8)
(run-tm)
(run-te)
**********************************************************************************************************
But I can't get the same figure. Could anyone give me some advice? Thank you in
advance.
Young-Soo Lee
