Hi all,

at http://sage.math.washington.edu/home/wbhart/mpir-1.2-alpha.tar.gz

you will find a tarball for MPIR version 1.2 (alpha). We are beginning
our release cycle early this time so that people who wish to do
testing for us have time to do so.

Please note that at this early stage we do not have optimal tuning
values for any Windows platform, for mips, sparc, netburst,
netburstlahf, atom or any x86 machine before a pentium 4 or k7. These
will come later this week. The only non-x86 machines we have tuning
values for are ia64.

We are happy to receive any and all bug reports. Final release will be
in a few days when all testing is complete.

Bill.
