I wrote the last one. And yes, it`s slovenian. Since Google fails at translation, here`s my translation:
DTrace, ZFS, more reliability/maturity, open relationship with OpenBSD etc. Why are we again on Linux and not FBSD? Is FBSD really just for internet service providers? At least it seems they`re not wasting time with licensing problems, as it is the case in Linux projects (a good example of that statement is the GMP fork - MPIR), where every more serious project needs a lawyer, so he/she can advise them about licencing issues. So my point was that since I have some experience developing some FOSS stuff for a company I remember going through all that licencing stuff (and there is planty to read!) and it takes a lot of time that could be spend for actual developement of a product. As it turned out, everybody I meet has a different opinion on this matter so.. sage has a flaming list sage-flame where different licences are being crushed so there`s already some discussion on this toppic. So.. that`s that. :) jernej On Sep 4, 10:54 pm, Bill Hart <[email protected]> wrote: > I did some more penetration testing to see how far the word about MPIR has > gotten.
