Every single one of the Sage groups is set to "Unmoderated, new members messages
are moderated" (what you just changed mpir too), and I think that is
the only reasonable option.    Anytime a group is set more permissive
than that, it get spammed after a while.
I've seen this happen before a few times.   So it's best to just
assume you'll have to leave mpir-devel that way.
