Hi all, as there were no complaints about the last alpha release, and as we are now happy with our internal testing, MPIR-2.7.0 now enters beta release!!
I have put beta1 up on the website http://mpir.org/ Please report any issues here. Note that the only changes from alpha15 to beta1 were: * Brian Gladman added preliminary support for the new MSVC 2015 which Microsoft is releasing for Open Source software projects. * Updated release documentation. I don't think we need a long beta release process since the alpha process took so long. I anticipate making MPIR-2.7.0 final next Friday, if there are no further serious issues between now and then.
