Just picked up my mail, which included a mailing
prepared and paid for by the Minnesota Republican
Party, Ron Ebensteiner, chair. It urged me to vote
for Linda Runbeck because she has a 100% rating
from the MCCL and is completely, totally pro-life.
I hope people in the Fourth District vote smart and
support the highly qualified AND pro-choice
candidate, Betty McCollum. Wouldn't it be a shame
if the first woman sent to Congress in over 40 years
turned out to be Runbeck, who opposes women's
rights to reproductive freedom?
I can feel the list manager about to upbraid me now,
because the above doesn't have a lot of Mpls focus,
but.... OK, this is a stretch, but.... Ron Ebensteiner
has been mentioned as a Mpls mayoral candidate
next year and his name is on the anti-choice literature,
which could make it hard for him to run for mayor as
a moderate.
