Well, for starters we have Tony Scallon, Martin Sabo, Peter McLaughlin, Ted
Mondale and Jesse Ventura, Caren DeWar just to name the first few at the
top of a very long list. You actually wouldn't have to ask these questions
if you had been attending the LRT planning meetings which have been going
on for many, many years and have intensified the last three years. I have
been cleaning my file drawers lately and just found a Hiawatha Corridor
planning map from 1986. This has been going on almost forever. IF you
recall Hwy 55 and the Minnehaha Park fiasco has been in the works for over
30 years. But now we really are going to have this LRT line and the above
have got to create the ridership to justify the building of this thing.
And where do they say these things. There are currently at least six
groups meeting on LRT issues and development issues coinciding with LRT
just at the HiLake station and I know that all the neighborhoods along the
corridor are doing planning for their stations. There is a corridor wide
coalition that meets and shares each other's plans, future funding, future
this and future that.
The above "mucky-mucks" and their staff people make presentations, tell us
plans and what is happening at many of these.

THAT'S WHERE!
