Yeah, I never understood that. Stonewall DFL didn't initially endorse
Catherine, yet they endorsed Al Galmon. Maybe they didn't know he had some
troubling positions at the time. Aw, well, the Gallmon endorsement came
back to bite them. The City Pages ran that really very nice story about
the embarrassing to the Republican party endorsement of Renee LaVoi, along
with the embarrassing to the DFL/Stonewall Caucus, DFL Feminist Caucus
endorsement of Al Galmon. That was lots of fun.... I believe the Galmon
section of that story was Minneapolis Issues inspired.
After the school board primary, Stonewall did endorse Catherine Shreves as
I recall.
I hope Catherine does run for reelection. She is the most thoughtful voice
on the school board we have.
