Take this for what it is worth, a friend of mine reported to me that her suburban co-workers were fearful for her safety when they learned that she lived in Minneapolis and one even asked her "Have you ever been shot at?" I doubt she was lying, so either her co-workers were teasing her or they are seriously afraid of Minneapolis.
