Remember that Minneapolis has an open primary -- there are no party
primaries.  All candidates are listed on the primary ballot, and the top two
advance.  You could have 2 DFL'rs advance, a DFL'r and a Green, an
Independence and a Green, or whatever.

This means that the Gore/Nader dilemma does not exist in this year's city
elections.  You can vote for the Green candidate in the primary and you
don't have to worry about electing a Republican.

If the Green candidate does not survive the primary, the question becomes
what Green voters will do in the general election.
