On a nearly daily basis, I commute from north Minneapolis to Mall of
America area in Bloomington. I often seen the northbound lane of 35W
into downtown Mpls backed up like a parking lot in the morning. It
seems to me that this route would have been a good route to place
light rail along because many of those drivers are already used to
sitting in traffic to get to downtown. Riding LRT might be a relief
for them.
