I agree with Karen.  I have listened to Jesse's responses to persons who 
have disagreed; his response seems invariably to have been combative.  
Whether the issue is MPS school budget, University budget, or MnSCU 
budget our strategy should be to put together a 'veto proof' legislative 
measure.  This will take lots of hard work from all corners of the state. 
 Someone else remarked that there is no need to contact Mpls legislators 
because they are the 'choir.'  That may be so but think how effective 
they would be when they stand up to speak and emphasize their words with 
a thick handful of letters, telegrams, and email.
