You need to contact the Railroad Office at Mn/DOT. They have been working on
this for years -- that corridor was their number wish several years ago and I'm
glad this has finally happened. That's because research shows that for
distances of around 500 miles, high speed trains are more energy efficient and
more reliable than planes. For example, they can go in the fog, sleet, etc. and
still be safe. For hauling cargo etc., this could greatly relieve the
congestion (and night flights) at MSP.
