Word from City Hall is that 9th Ward council member Kathy Thurber is
dropping out of the race. That leaves Michael Guest and Gary Schiff fighting
it out for the DFL endorsement. Who knows if others will now enter the race,
but the DFL convention is early, March 3, not a lot of time for an "abiding"
DFLer to get organized.
