If Ms. Thurber truly knew that her many, many votes to approve millions
of dollars for tif projects was in the city's best interests, she would have
no problem running for office again. She would proudly defend her record and
look forward to an aggressive campaign. Instead, she is deciding not to run
because others are just being too mean. I think her decision not to run,
says exactly how proud she is about these tif boondoggles. It's unfortunate
that the mayor and all of the other council members who sold the taxpayers
down the river to the developers don't bow out also.
