Mark writes partly tongue in cheek, but I want to dispel the impression that
the Minneapolis-issues list is official "anything." We are not progressive,
DFL, or stalking horses for any candidate. Like a democracy, the list is
whoever shows up to participate. And of course, the opinions of the list
manager are not those of the list!

One reason I'm sensitive to this is that I judge the list's success by the
quality of debate. That suffers when only one side shows up. I hope those of
you who feel you are in the "minority" won't sulk, but will instead recruit
like-minded folks to participate. I don't like one-party government and I
don't like one-sided discussions. But that is an unofficial position...
