Hi!
I have never really been involved yet in city elections, waiting for that
"perfect" moment in my life when it will actually fit. That moment hasn't
exactly arrived, but I've just become too interested to wait longer.
But I know nothing, absolutely nothing, about how things work.
Are there resources anywhere, preferably online, for getting a newbie up to
speed? Answering questions like:
How do I find out what ward I'm in?
What elections are this year, for terms of how long?
Who gets to vote in what now, and what are the new options being discussed?
What can I attend, as someone brand-new to the process? Of that, what can I
vote in?
What are the various purposes etc.. of the ward convention, precinct
caucus, and city convention?
What processes are currently in place for voting at the various meetings,
and what processes are under discussion?
And so forth and so on.
Thanks in advance!
