I've been called twice - couldn't answer the survey either time - but are we
sure it's Sayles Belton's operation? I believe Russell Peterson first put
this on the forum. Russell, how did you know?
It also sounds like they're polling DFL delegates, which would make sense
this time of year.
Can someone take ownership of the poll? Dennis is right; even though it's
common practice, I hate the game playing and wish people would be upfront
about whose campaign they're calling for...I always make them identify, and
if they won't I don't answer. It's the age-old question we expect an answer
to in any other circumstance: "who's asking?"
And I know, from having been a pollster, it screws up the survey, but now
that I'm the one they're grabbing info from, too bad.

I got the call, too.
Isn't this just the normal (if duplicitous) technique of calling something a
"poll" which is actually an effort to identify pro and anti voters so that
the candidate can target efforts leading up to the DFL endorsing convention?
