I got the call. The kid slearly identified herself as being from
blahblahblah research working for the campaign of Mayor Sharon Sayles
Belton and calling to ask 3 questions. Was I going to the
convention; what were my three biggest issues and who was I
supporting.

It was a straight up voter ID call. Any candidate with a prayer had
better know where the delegates stand before the convention and what will
make them move.

This is serious business. The people doing data for Betty McCollum's 4th
CD floor fight last spring were only off by two votes. It shaped the
whole convention.

The questions were all multiple choice because it is not practical to
try and insert a bunch of permutations of "corporations are noisy
and eat children" into a database.

The thing that surprises me is that she is using paid phoners this
early. I am assuming RT et. al. will be using volunteers for
this.

Later. Evan.
