The MNEWS program is coordinated by the Center for
Urban and Regional Affairs at the U of M.  Kris Nelson
would be the contact there at 625-1020. 

A portion of the program is funded with NRP funds. I
am the contract manager for the MNEWS program as it
relates to NRP funding neighborhoods are contributing.
To date, the following neighborhoods are participating
in the program using NRP funds:

Central, Powderhorn, Longfellow, Seward, Harrison, and
Hawthorne.

If you have questions work through your neighborhood
association and contact Kris Nelson. 

I do not have an electronic description of the program
myself so I have contacted Kris and asked him to post
a brief description of the program on-line for your
information. You can also e-mail me your name and
address and I will send you a copy of the program
description.
