Mike Bethke may have a point in limiting reference to neighborhood papers on
this list. People can and do stretch things.
On the other hand, maybe this list would benefit if it were more actively
linked to neighborhood newspapers. There is almost always some good stuff in
neighborhood papers that doesn't register on most of our radar screens.
(And, think the figure of 30 papers in the Twin Cities overestimates the
potential participation in Minneapolis.)
What if....
We had one person self-assigned to each of the neighborhood (as opposed to
community) newspapers who agreed to do a short post each month on key
political issues raised? Maybe links, maybe not. But some good intelligence,
I'd think.
