To read many on this forum, some outsiders might think
Minneapolis is a real dump of a place to live. But
I'd like to believe that this forum doesn't represent
a true cross section of the city, but rather ultra
liberals who rail against anyone and anything with a
positive attitude about this city.
The reason our Mayoral candidates could be perceived
to be weak is our pathetic weak Mayor system of
government. Too many interests and no focus, the
Mayor of this city can only hope to put things in
perspective. Look across the river and see what some
leadership with true power can bring. Jimmy Niland's
scare tactics and polarization wouldn't fly over
there.
Here's to a great city, a great place to live, one
that with a bit of tweaking of the city charter, could
be even better.
