Jeez, I thought this was a big improvement over the GP convention I was
endorsed at in March of 2000, when only seven people attended, and one of
them was my mom.
I still managed to get 2,867 votes in my race for state representative. So if
the ratio holds, Dean and Cam can each expect to get 18,840 votes. Look out,
Minneapolis!
We aren't trying to pretend to be more than we are. The Green Party is a
minority movement. But that doesn't mean we aren't running serious campaigns.
Last year 33 Green Party members were elected to local and city offices
across the U.S., including four mayors in California; currently 80 Green
Party members hold elected office around the country.
Let the elections be the grassroots voice, not the party conventions.
