I have to take issue with Tim's comment about the Green Party: " If this was
my party, I would suggest the party take a serious look at what they're
doing that's making people stay away in droves!"
People can disagree about the impact of the last election. But we all
should be looking at what the Greens have done to get so many people get
involved.
There are Green meetings in this town almost every weekend, and they've
brought hundreds of new people back into politics. Save your venom for the
apathetic people who are sitting on the couch watching the XFL, not for the
people who are there trying to make something happen.
These of us who are trying to get more people involved in the DFL should be
learning a lot of lessons from the Greens.
