It has recently come to my attention that Sharon
Sayles Belton is openly refusing to attend candidate
forums between now and the Minneapolis City DFL
Convention. I find this very disturbing.
I'm sure our mayor is busily working 'behind the
scenes' to give additional dollars to long-suffering
corporations or doing her very best to ensure that
business move from Minneapolis for greener shores. Or
perhaps she doesn't want to talk about it.
Or, perhaps she's going to ensure that Brookfield - a
billion dollar company from Canada - gets let off the
hook for its $20 million dollar obligation to the city
with the Gavidae bailout. Or, perhaps she's busily
working behind the scenes to ensure that there are no
snags in the $40 million dollar bailout for Block E.
Mayor Stealth is at it again- staying low, hiding,
cloistering, hoping no one scrutinizes or performance
or promises.
