"I'm not convinced that this is the most forward-thinking community forum in the country". I am in agreement with Mark E. on this one. Although I find this list informative and the pulse of the city I am involved on several list serves that address societal issues and changes we need to address and make if we all are going to survive. And believe me there are communities here in Minnesota and all over the country and world that are more forward thinking than this list. Now collectively, off line we are probably more representative as members of a forward thinking community. Getting back to policy and ordainances and changes we would like for the new crop of elected officeholders to take on in 2002 wouldn't hurt this group. The sometimes internal bickering, tensions and struggles of each neighborhood and each political party gets a bit much. I have found the thread of what people like about Minneapolis to be exciting, positive and hopeful and even gives me goosebumps. It makes me realize how blessed I am to live in such a great city where people really love being here (snow, ice and all). ay Annie Young Ward 6 - East Phillips in Minneapolis Citywide at-large Park Board Commissioner Working to build a sustainable community _______________________________________________ Minneapolis Issues Forum - Minnesota E-Democracy Post messages to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscribe, Unsubscribe, Digest option, and more: http://e-democracy.org/mpls
