if it was in the mayor's best political interest to
debate i'm sure she would. she doesn't feel she needs
to, maybe because most of the people who are going to
vote are happy with the job she is doing.
if the other candidates where instead incumbents ahead
in the polls they wouldn't debate either. making a
choice not to play her opponent's game is not a
reflection of the mayor's character or the job she has
been doing.
