I'm not quite sure what the paragraph below means, but I'll try to answer
what I think it implies--and to lay out what is in fact the case.

The first--FIRST--mayoral candidate forum I'm trying to organize is a
pre-DFL-endorsing-convention forum for those candidates who are seeking DFL
endorsement. At this point, only three people have said they are seeking DFL
endorsement. This has been where the action is in the city for quite a few
years, and it seems silly to let this time period pass and not hold any
forums until after the endorsement. While those in the general public who
attend the forum cannot take part in the endorsement--unless they're already
delegates--they can certainly make their views known to delegates in advance
of the endorsement. So the forum might be helpful to them.

But that first forum is not the only one I want to organize. I fully expect
to plan--or participate as a sponsor in--a pre-primary mayoral forum for all
candidates involved in the primary, of all parties.

And then a forum/debate between the winners of the primary, before the
general election.
