How about using that tape that you get at hardware stores. Another great 3M
product that is tape that comes off without peeling paint and looking that
gross ugly gray that duct tape does. I even saw that new non-stick tape a
True Value- HiLake in colors, could match the cars color job.
Now to digress a moment in history. An Indian leader in this comunity whom
I used to work for (but I shall keep unnamed) one day emptied an ashtray of
junk out of his car at the corner of 24th and Cedar. When I confronted him
at the office about throwing that stuff out - he looked me stratight in the
eye and said, "you all disrespected my native lands and paved them over -
you want to talk about the disrespect of the land". He turned and walked away.
Point well taken.

I don't like the dirty city either - just thought I'd share a different
perspective.

And the kid who said "it's the city" - that's what cities look like". The
serence life of the country makes one think sometimes. In the 70's I lived
on one of those "hippie" community farm places outside Winona and we
finally had to have all visitors to the farm have a host ( a member of the
farm). And the host was repsonible for the visitors "garbage". We found
that we were trying to live "the perfect, simple life" and many came to
visit and see us and invariably left their cigarette butts, unrecylced
containers, etc. all over the place. So we created the rule. Someone had
to take responsibility for other people's trash. Wouldn't it be nice if
everyone shared and took it upon themselves to be personally responsible of
their own garbage - producers and manufacturers included. It really is
about over-consumption, over-population and saving the planet when all is
said and done. Think Globally, Act Locally.
Enough from my soapbox tonight.
