As an amateur birder, I can atest to the fact that many cardinals winter
over.  I saw a robin on Jan. 3, so this was another bird that missed the
bus or something!  Today I heard the first redwing blackbird, it's a full
month later than last year.  I have also seen lots of cedarwaxwings, but no
bluebirds yet!
