Minneapolis does speed enforcement too- quite often I see a
squad running radar on Nicollet Island, would be nice if they didn't
park on the sidewalk though. Another place in need of some
enforcement is the corner in front of Rick's Cabaret aka the fancy
stripper joint. During the evening there's usually a bunch of
illegally parked cars, limos, buses, taxis, etc. there blocking the
crosswalk and right lane of 3rd Avenue. If the city really wants to
shut this place down why don't they do some enforcement here? If
nothing else, parking in the bus stop can be punished with a
handicapped parking big $$$ ticket. Transit Police also have
authority there, in case MPD is to busy to be bothered. I have to try
to herd a tractor trailer rig around this corner a couple times a
night, and it'd be nice if there weren't a bunch of johns cars
illegally parked where my trailer wheels need to go...
