The whole idea of DFL endorsement for non-partisan races has always seemed
rather ludicrous to me. Dean Zimmerman managed to play this up well and
made DFLers like Stafford look rather foolish.
I'm surprised that folks in 6th ward didn't try to block endorsement.
Going to 6 or 7 ballots, and winning endorsement with 50 votes or so, is
hardly a ringing endorsement.
Yesterday, there SSB wrote a counterpoint defending her record in the
Strib. It is exactly the type of thing I would really like to see her post
on Minneapolis Issues.
