As a year round biker, tickets are fine and everything, but I hope
people understand that in the winter my perception of the rules does
change. And I don't take seriously anything anyone says in their heated
automobiles. I know some law enforcement officials will feel the need to
curtail my comments, point taken. I'll just be getting back to the
business at hand of not freezin my arse off. Ten years of cycling with
out an accident. Everyday. 10 years. I have hit no one. I have harmed no
one.
And I will take the moral authority on this issue, enough scientists
have said the car is and will continue to be the source of our
collective frustration. For a moment look into the future 100 years with
no change in our transportation policy and get back to me.
And for all the talk of the bike lanes in this town, is this a joke. I
have seen so many infractions by taxis and police, that they are more
death traps than anything.
I agree with Mr. Knapp about the car culture, but as Mr. Brauer would
point out, how is this an exclusive Mpls. issue.
He really hit the point of how our economic growth is counter productive
to a civlized society.
I'm not many crows for nothing.
