<I've written before on this list of the intersections
<of 25th and 27th and Lyndale Av So. When I requested my
<councilperson look into the possibility of installing
<lights at those intersections she referred the matter
<to Mike Monahan who at the time was in Public Works in
<charge of Transportation issues.
Lyndale So. and 25th St. are tentatively scheduled for new semaphores in
2002. That date may change because of the $2.9 million that will be spent
to restore a concrete-pier design for the LRT bridge over Lake Street.
<It was pointed out to me that the cost to install
<semaphores would be $70k/per.
It is now up to $85,000.
