Rumors, charges and counter charges fly over CNIA funding, meeting process,
voter eligibility at neighborhood meetings, 'missing' funds, etc. As a
neighborhood outsider, I find the overall situation and dialogue extremely
confusing and nonproductive.

If an official audit of CNIA, performed by a recognized, competent,
independent auditor (i.e. the state auditor as part of NRP process)
documents misappropriated and/or missing funds, those vested with fiduciary
responsibility/authority at CNIA during the periods in question should be
held fully accountable and prosecuted according to the law. I think city
residents and taxpayers beyond just those of the CNIA neighborhood have a
vested interest in seeing that our tax dollars are spent in accordance with
the law. If civil and/or criminal malfeasance is documented (in Central or
any other neighborhood), charges should be filed and individuals held
accountable. I have no interest in rumors and excuses; let the historic
facts (as documented by audit) speak for themselves. It makes no sense to
'replenish' lost or stolen public funds until those determined responsible
(if that is the finding) are held accountable.
